The Pastor and the Business Person: Friend or Foe?

In addition to working directly with business people, Avodah also aims to equip pastors and clergy to minister more intentionally and effectively to the business community.

Hosted by Princeton Theological Seminary's Center for Continuing Education, David Miller will teach a one day seminar for pastors on 11/2/01 offering practical and theological guidance for clergy who want to bridge the gap between weekend worship and weekday work. The title is: The Pastor and the Business Person: Friend or Foe?

Studies show that even the most committed church members experience a gap between their Sunday worship experience and their Monday workplace reality. They wonder if their work matters to God. Is it the pastor’s role to help overcome this Sunday-Monday gap? How can the “gathered church” on Sunday equip and support the “scattered church” Monday through Friday? This interactive seminar will explore practical ideas and suggestions to help participants better understand and minister to this often overlooked community.

This seminar will consider the theological, liturgical, and practical impact of this community on a pastor’s preaching, teaching, worship leadership, and pastoral care.

To enroll, just call: 609-497-7990. For more information click below and scroll down till you find the seminar: http://www.ptsem.edu/ce/pg01/ce-leadership.htm#The%20Pastor%20and%20the%20Business-person:%20Friends%20or%20Foes?
