Faith
in the Workplace: A Consultation for Leaders
The
Avodah Institute is inviting a select group of business leaders
to explore and investigate the subject of faith and work.
Faith in the Workplace: A Consultation for Leaders
will take place on the campus of Princeton Theological Seminary,
starting at 4:00PM Thursday, May 25 and concluding at 2:00PM
on Friday, May 26, 2000. We will be engaged by the best in
cutting edge academic thought, with presentations from professors
from Harvard Business School and Princeton Theological Seminary.
Faith
in the Workplace: A Consultation for Leaders< is sponsored by
The Avodah Institute. One of the goals of The Avodah Institute
is to encourage dialogue among leaders on issues relating
to faith and work. Avodah is a Hebrew word with a double meaning
- work and ministry. While Avodah approaches its mission through
the Christian tradition, people of all religious traditions
are welcome to participate in events sponsored by the Institute.
Our aim is to find practical ways to integrate faith claims
and workplace demands that are constructive, inclusive, and
nondiscriminatory.
This
senior level Consultation is the first of three, with
the aim of producing a book or series of publications that
will help leaders better relate to and understand the subject of faith and work. We expect a stimulating set of discussions
in a spirit of openness and engagement.
